THE 2008 PROFIT AND PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT GUIDE

Law firms struggle to quantify how big their profit opportunities are, and find it difficult to obtain empirical salary and budget information.

Our benchmarking surveys address these two issues directly.  Our flagship survey – the Inter-Firm Comparison – allows participants to be benchmarked against their peers. From these benchmarks we examine the key drivers to profitability, identify the profit opportunity and compile action strategies for you.  Our Salary survey is the only survey in the Australian and New Zealand market to report on both salary and performance across the gamut of positions in the legal industry.

Our research last year identified that firms, on average, had a profit opportunity of nearly .4m.  Imagine what .4m could do for your lifestyle or firm re-investment?  Firms who participated last year have lauded our report and presentation to their firm.  In even the most profitable, well-managed firms we have identified profit opportunities far exceeding the cost of participating.

Our salary survey reports current and anticipated salaries, work done / budget and examines what’s happening with rates.  The output is uncluttered and concise, allowing HR Managers to quickly draw comparisons between individuals and the benchmark.  Gone are the days of trying to justify changes in salary, budget and rates based on hearsay.  Use the report to motivate slow performers and to assure your talent that you are providing them with attractive remuneration.

Benchmarking with us will give you clear targets to fill the profit void and provide a framework for improvement should you wish to integrate the findings with your business coach.

Why spend hours searching through job ads and old records in preparation for review time?  Our Salary survey gives you instant information as to what level of person is earning, achieving and charging, and the anticipated benchmarks will ensure you’re not left out in the breeze.

We guarantee your alliance with FMRC will be a profitable and rewarding one for your firm.  Please contact Graham Le Roux or Simon Ostler for more information.
